ABOUT OUR LIMESTONE COTTAGE
Built in 1850, this beautifully restored cottage was originally a limekiln worker/crofters cottage. The workers would live here and walk the short distance down to the Lime Kiln, at the old pier in Broadford, which still stands today. After this chapter of it's life it sadly became unused and was left empty and exposed to the elements for 27 years. It was scheduled for demolition before someone took on the fantastic project of transforming it into a B&B in 1993.
It still retains original exposed stonewalls & beams to keep the character of the old life once led, and there are many stories told about former owners and their time at the cottage. We are happy to be a chapter in it's life as well as it being a chapter in ours.
